Key Features of Laser Genesis™
How it works.
A handheld laser device which emits a specific wavelength of light is used to penetrate the deeper layers of the skin without harming the surface. The treatment works by penetrating the skin’s surface and heating the upper dermis where collagen lives. The heat stimulates the collagen to regrow and improves the skin’s quality from within. Additional heat is generated when treating dilated capillaries to reduce redness.
Patients may start to notice improvements in skin texture, tone, and overall appearance over the course of several weeks to months. For optimal results, a series of Laser Genesis™ treatments is typically recommended.

Non-Ablative Laser: Laser Genesis™ is a non-ablative laser treatment, meaning it does not remove the outer layer of the skin (epidermis). Instead, it targets the deeper dermal layers, stimulating collagen production without causing damage to the surface of the skin.
Minimally Invasive: The Laser Genesis™ is a minimally invasive laser that works to combat conditions typically associated with the signs of skin ageing and excessive sun damage such as fine lines, wrinkles, large pores, uneven skin tone and the background redness that can be associated with skin diseases such as rosacea.
Collagen Stimulation: Laser Genesis™ utilizes laser energy to stimulate collagen production in the deeper layers of the skin. This helps improve skin elasticity, texture, and overall firmness.

During the treatment the patient will feel a gradual warming of their skin. It has been described as feeling like very warm rain and does not require pain relief. The procedure generally takes between 30-45 minutes depending on the size or number of areas being treated.
It is common for patients to undertake an initial course of 6 treatments and then move to a maintenance program if required. The Laser Genesis™ can also be combined with other skin treatments.

Expectations & Downtime:
• We classify the Laser Genesis™ as a lunchtime treatment, being minimally invasive patients can generally return straight to normal activity such as work immediately after.
• Some redness may be experienced but this will generally subside within an hour.
• The results from a single treatment are subtle but you will see a healthier complexion as large pores are reduced in size and minor imperfections diminish.
• The overall effect of multiple treatments can be quite dramatic.
