The Dermatology Institute of Victoria offers a cooperative rapid access clinic for the quick treatment of non-melanoma skin cancer on Mondays and Wednesdays.
How do i access the clinic?
Access to the clinic is by doctor referral only. Please make an appointment at your GP if you are concerned by a spot, mole or lesion on your skin who can then refer you to our clinic. N.B. This is not a skin checking service.
what does the clinic involve?
This cooperative clinic incorporates:
Routine excision of skin cancers performed by dermatologists Associate Professor Greg Goodman, Dr Chris Jalilian and Plastic Surgeon Mr Jeremy Richardson.
On site Mohs micrographic surgery for the most difficult of skin cancers allowing minimum wound size with the highest possible cure rate. Mohs micrographic surgery is performed by Associate Professor Greg Goodman, the first Mohs micrographic surgeon in Victoria with over 25 years of experience in this technique and he also heads the Mohs micrographic unit at the Skin and Cancer Foundation. Mohs micrographic reconstruction is performed on site by Plastic Surgeon Mr Jeremy Richardson.
Optimal post-operative scar revision techniques are also available with Associate Professor Greg Goodman, Dr Martine Apikian, and Mr Jeremy Richardson.
